Nobody Wants This · 2026 · TV series · 10 episodes · Kristen Bell · Adam Brody
Verdict: WATCH – might be the last season
There’s something very Emily in Paris about Nobody Wants This: for better or for worse, it always delivers. If you like the writing, and the characters, it’s hard to be disappointed.
Joanne is as crazy as ever, Bina still knows no boundaries, and Joanne’s parents are beyond ridiculous. So far so good.
However, season 3 feels like it has less Jewishness in it. The reason is simple: it feels like there’s less Noah and Joanne. And that’s not because they feature less, it’s that they basically stopped fighting. Stopped fighting about Judaism, about how to live their lives, but also stopped fighting altogether.
They’re settled. They’re happy. And I’m no longer interested.
Their story is now the story of every couple ever: they move in together, and they discover each other’s flaws. Joanne is messy, Noah wants to do things a certain way. They’re learning to live together like the rest of us.
And so season 3 is really the story of Sasha and Morgan.
Why that? Because unlike Noah and Joanne, Sasha and Morgan have been brewing forever.
Two full seasons of enemies-to-frenemies-to-friends. The kind of friendship that feels safe because although he obviously has a crush, she doesn’t. Or says she doesn’t.
Sasha has been her shoulder to cry on, a male friend she can really trust, and now also someone who goes to NYC with her and buys her a Valentino dress. He’s also separated from Esther, so fully on the market.
Nobody Wants This came up with one of the most romantic episodes I can remember, with some unforgettable will-they-won’t-they moments. That NYC episode deserved its own romcom.
And yet, they managed to ruin it.
Was Morgan likely to freak out and run away? Yes. Was Sasha, fresh from being rejected by Esther, likely to be extra sensitive? Again, yes.
But nothing can explain what happens next: Morgan gets her act together and lays it all on the line for him. Her insecurities, her past experience, how complicated it is given Noah and Joanne.
Sasha’s reaction? Basically a “no, thanks”.
I’m sorry, I don’t buy that. He’s allowed to be hurt, or to be slow to trust her. But the reality is that she didn’t cheat, there’s no ex bf or husband in the picture, and she wasn’t unsure about him. She was overwhelmed by it all, and had a little wobble.
Sasha has the girl of his dreams asking him to give this a real chance, and he walks away.
The cynic in me can’t resist: Noah and Joanne are getting married, the Jewish tension has been resolved, and Bina is organising the wedding. In other words, if Sasha and Morgan ended up together, it’s hard to see how they would justify a Season 4. Honestly, it feels more like a manufactured crisis than honest storytelling.
Netflix hasn’t renewed the show for a fourth season. I doubt they will.
